Blend: 50% Chardonnay 50% Pinot Noir
Wine Region: Grand Cru Montagne de Reims, Grand Cru Cotes de Blancs, Champagne
Tasting Notes: This wine is an equal blend of 6 founding Crus of the Maison Henriot’s historical terroirs, all picked in a single year making it a Millesime. The Cuvée Hemera’s bouquet is a complex array of white flowers, vanilla, ripe stone fruits and candied apricots. The incredible freshness of this wine contrasts with the generous nose, with a precise minerality that hints to the prestigious chalk parcels in the Cotes de Blancs. Followed closely by ripe peaches, nectarines and hints of grapefruit mellowing into a lengthy finish of pastries and spiced fruits. Each of the 6 Grand Cru vineyards play out in a synchronized dance in the structure of this wine, paired with a modest 5 g/L dosage and 12 years ageing presents an exceptional Champagne with texture and richness in a tight, elegant package.
When to Drink: This wine is ready to drink, but will continue to flourish for the next ten years.
