Château Hostens-Picant 2016 – Sainte Foy Côtes de Bordeaux
Yves and Nadine Hostens Picant took charge of the estate in 1986. It was love at first sight and a big challenge to revive this terroir that lay forgotten amongst its illustrious Bordeaux neighbors.
30 years later, the quality of their wines has been firmly established. Their younger daughter Valérie is ready to uphold the estate´s pride and identity, as they have become leaders of the appellation.
The soil is clay and limestone with sections of flint. Vinification is done in steel vats. The wine is then aged in oak barrels for 10 to 12 months in the local tradition.
This signature red wine is produced at the chateau with great care and from the most mature vines.
