Description
Terres les Amoureuses – Cuvée Pulsion Blanc
The wine story
Jean Pierre Bedel is the owner of a big building materials company. He was born in the region, where his wife Florence owned a vineyard. In 2011, they bought this 300-acre domain and started a complete upheaval. Everything was redesigned: choice of varieties, vineyard management, vinification, aging and blending methods…
As they have around 30 grape varieties, on different soils and altitudes, every plot is picked and vinified separately. They built a modern 5000 square meters winery, with the latest equipment, and a barrel cellar of 300 vats and barrels of different volumes to allow a precise blending. The grapes are sorted first in the vineyard, then in the winery to produce several high-quality wines.
They use no herbicides, only natural composts and green manure.
Favorite Pairing
This refreshing and tasty wine will pair well with white fish in creamy lemon sauce, seabass, crab, lobster and gambas.
The Region
On the right bank of the Rhone River, it is a rich agricultural region. The climate is Mediterranean, but the heat is tempered by the cool northern wind following the Rhone valley. The pretty name of the Chateau comes from a local legend…the terraced vineyards border a stream where the young maidens from the village came to do their washing and the place became a lovers’ meeting place.
