Château Real Martin 2019 – Côtes de Provence White
A few centuries ago, this vast domain was the property of the Comtes de Provence. Of the area’s 230 hectares, 40 are vineyards. This is where most of the local varieties are grown. Red, white, and rosé wines are all produced here. The château and vineyards are surrounded by wooded areas and olive groves. The domain also sells olive oil. Jean-Marie Paul bought the domain in 2001. He operates it with the help of his wife and three sons as well.
This wine comes from a 35 year old vineyard located on clay and lime soil. Grapes are picked in September, sorted, and destemmed, with a long maceration on skins. Finally, it is fermented and aged on lees. The wine was produced organically. Since it is made entirely from white grapes, it is called Blanc de Blanc. It has a pale-yellow color with silvery hues. Château Real Martin 2019 – Côtes de Provence White received an award for best in Provence in 2017.
