Description

This is 100% Gamay from the Fleurie region in Beaujolais.

Muriel and Frédéric Montangeron have worked in the family tradition of winemaking since 1996.  Domaine Montangeron was created following the purchase of property across a few appellations, most notably in Fleurie. Frédéric Montangeron follows the ancestral method of “semi-carbonic maceration,” using whole bunches of grapes in an oxygen-free, carbondioxide filled vat for a period of 10 to 12 days, resulting in a fermentative metabolic process. Domaine Montangeron is frequently nominated in many wine guides and has received many medals from local, national and international competitions.
