Description
The wine story
RHONEA is a group of 388 artisan vignerons who have chosen to pool they expertise and skills and work together. Strongly attached to their family estates they can put all their energy in wine making, and the cooperative takes care of marketing and sales. They sell a lot of wines to restaurants because they have good value, and because the final blending of the different cuvées is carried out with the advice of famous chefs, so most of the RHONEA wines are associated with gastronomy from the start.
RHONEA has a project to create the largest vineyard in the Rhone Valley, where the turnover will be shared by as many joint owners as possible.
This wine comes from a soil of pebbles from the Rhone River, with a subsoil of limestone and clay. The vinification is traditional with slow fermentation in controlled temperature. Then the wine is aged on lees for a few months.
Favorite pairing
You can drink this wine as an aperitif or have it with fish, seafood or gourmet salads with lobster or crab.
The Region
The Northern part of the Rhone Valley, on the right bank between Vienne and Valence, is a narrow strip with steep slopes, harsh climate and granite soil where wine growing is hard work. In the Southern part, around Avignon, the valleys are more spacious along the tributaries of the Rhone and the climate is milder. Vacqueyras is there, a rather new appellation on the left bank of the river, not far from the prestigious Chateauneuf du Pape.

White flowers and exotic fruit

Complex and racy wine with a taste of pear and green melon, and an exotic touch in the long finish
