Description

Mas de Merlere is part of the domaine Serre des Vignes. It is managed by two young winemakers, Vincent and Jerome Roux. It’s a family domaine of about 94 acres where wine has been made for many generations. They have introduced new methods in compliance with the requirements of Biological
agriculture to obtain the bio wine label. Their vineyards are located on sunny hillsides in limestone, clay and marl soils. And they are part of the Appellation Grignan-les-Adhémar, created in 2010. Because the vine branches are raised and connected, it gives a larger surface of foliage and allows the clusters of grapes to be more spread out and better exposed to the sun. This then helps achieve perfect ripeness. It is a common method in this area. The vines are 25 to 50 years old which gives the wine concentration and intensity. This wine has a very intense purple red color, with an ample fruity taste, supple tannins and a spicy finish.
