Description
La Cavale 2016 – Luberon Red
Paul Dubrule is a successful businessman from Northern France. In 1986 he fell in love with an old sheep farm in Luberon. The farm also produced wine, and Dubrule then bought the domain.
Dubrule hired experienced wine makers Alain Graillot and Jean-Paul Aubert. They then implemented new methods to improve quality and finesse. Hard work in the vineyards, early harvesting and slow vinification added to the complexity of tastes from the different grape varieties. This produces a warm, fruity, full-bodied and well-balanced wine. The grapes are mostly Grenache, Syrah and Carignan.
The estate is now 100 acres and produces Red, White and Rosé wines.
La Cavale is the Dubrule estate’s top wine and 2016 is considered the best vintage by wine experts.
Paul Dubrule is also proud of his magnificent “chai” and tasting room. Built by the famous architect Jean Michel Wilmotte, it is 500 square meters in size. The room is deemed the most beautiful cellar in Luberon and attracts a multitude of visitors.
