35% Grenache Blanc/35% Vermentino/15% Clairette/15% Ugni blanc from the Luberon region.
Paul Dubrule, a successful businessman from Northern France, bought the domain in 1986 because he fell in love with an old sheep farm in Luberon, that also produced wine.
He hired experienced wine makers Alain Graillot, known as the king of Crozes-Hermitage appellation. Both Alain and Jean-Paul Aubert, Director of the domain, implemented new methods to improve quality and finesse. Their mission was to put La Cavale in the top 3 wineries in the Luberon region in the next few years.
The grapes for their white wine are mostly Grenache blanc, Vermentino, Clairette and Ugni blanc.
The estate is now 100 acres and produces Red, White and Rosé wines.
Paul Dubrule is also proud of his magnificent “chai” and tasting room. It is 500 square meters big and was built by the famous architect Jean Michel Wilmotte. it is deemed the most beautiful cellar in Luberon and attracts a lot of visitors.
